JOBSEEKERS FAQ'S

To update your sign in details, you'll need to contact us via the 'contact us' page. Usually this cannot be updated but in rare instances we may be able to make an exception.

When you apply for jobs, both your profile information and your CV will be available to the recruiter. To ensure recruiters can find relevant jobs for you, it's important to keep this information up to date.

To update your contact preferences, you'll need to be signed in to your recruit-drive account. Once you're signed in, you can click on your name in the top right hand corner of any page and click 'Contact preferences'. You can then choose which emails you'd like to receive and click 'Save changes'.

If you're sure you would like to delete your account, please visit your account settings and click 'deactivate account'. Once you have confirmed the action, your account will be deleted...simple!

If the recruiter requires jobseekers to make applications on their own websites, you'll be taken to the recruiter's site in order to complete your application. Otherwise, just apply on the jobs portal (provided you meet the applications' jobseeker criteria) and leave the rest to us!

You'll receive an automated email from Recruit-Drive.com to confirm that your application has been successfully sent. If you don't receive a confirmation email and you're unsure whether your application has been sent, you can try doing the following:

  • Check the spam filters in your email account.
  • Add 'no-reply@recruit-drive.com' to your address book or safe list.
  • Check that the email address for your Recruit-Drive.com account is correct by signing in, clicking on your name in the top right hand corner of any page and clicking 'Sign in details'.
  • Sign in, click 'my applications' on your jobseeker dashboard to view all your applications.

There are a LOT of recruiters advertising jobs on Recruit-Drive.com, including direct employers and recruitment agencies. And each job posted on Recruit-Drive states which company the vacancy is being handled by.

You can monitor progress on your application by signing in to your account, clicking on your dash board and then clicking “my applications”. All of the jobs you've applied for in the last four months are listed in this section.

Between one and four weeks; after which the employer will have to repost the job ad.

If you decide, after applying for a role, that it isn't quite right for you, you can easily withdraw your application.

To withdraw an application, simply :

  • Sign in to your Recruit-Drive.com account.
  • On your profile dashboard click on ‘my application’.
  • Find the job for which you would like to withdraw your application.
  • Click 'Actions' and then 'Withdraw application', and confirm When you withdraw an application, the recruiter no longer has online access to your CV or personal details on Recruit-Drive.com

We understand the importance of security when entering personal information online. To protect your information whilst registering, Recruit-Drive.com uses industry standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption to encrypt and secure your data. Whilst registering and signing in, you'll notice the address changes to begin with https:// - this shows that SSL encryption is working.

We take your privacy very seriously and comply fully with the terms set out in the Data Protection Act. Full details can be found in our Privacy policy.

When you apply for a job on Recruit-Drive.com, your profile information and CV will be emailed to the recruiter and shown in their Recruit-Drive account.

When you register with Recruit-Drive.com your details are made available to our recruitment team; they can find your CV and contact you with details of relevant jobs. In addition, you can set your profile to 'Public' or 'Contacts Only' on your privacy settings.

CV size is sometimes inflated by hidden formatting. If your CV document is over the 200kb limit, you can try the following:

  • Remove any tables or images from your CV.
  • Copy and paste the text of your CV into notepad, and then copy and paste it back into your Word document.

EMPLOYER FAQ'S

If you're having trouble signing in, you should follow these steps :

1. Make sure that you are using the correct username and password. Your username will usually be your email address.

2. If you have forgotten your password, you can request a password reset via the contact us page or the 'password reset' function.

From your signed in Employer homepage or from the ‘My Job Listings' page, click the 'Post a Job' button. It's then a simple case of choosing a job advert type and completing the job advert details.

Your advert will go live once you've paid for the advert or if you have chosen to buy job advert credit(s) in advance, as soon as you click 'Post Job Advert'.

Click on 'my applicants' tab and then once you have decided on the suitable candidate(s) for your job advert, select 'call for interview'. At this point you should fill in as much information as you can about the interview: Location, Interviewer(s), date for interview, time for interview, documents for candidates to bring etc. Upon completion of the aforementioned, sit back and relax; Recruit-Drive.com's interview management system will take care of the rest!

Your job advert needs to encourage the most suitable candidates to apply, whilst minimising the number of irrelevant candidates. Specify the correct ‘criteria’ i.e. badges, experience etc. to make sure that you filter out irrelevant candidates. It is also possible to add skills and expertise that are required by the candidate to your job advert.

Adding skills and ‘criteria’ will allow candidates to find your job advert on our website and help them make an informed decision on if they are right for the vacancy.

To see which applications you haven't viewed, find the job via the 'my job listings’ tab as follows :

1. Click on the ‘Sort by’ drop-down menu and select ‘Unread applications’, you'll see a list of all applicants you haven't viewed.

2. Once you've reviewed an applicant's profile (by clicking on their name) or downloaded their CV, they will be removed from the 'unread' list.

If you are posting a job for the first time, there may be a delay before you are able to access your applications. This is due to us verifying your registration details, and it also helps to protect candidate information. We aim to do this as quickly as possible, but don't worry whilst we do this your job will be live on the website, so you won't miss any potential applicants.

To control what emails you receive from Recruit-Drive.com, click on the 'Account' tab and click the 'Change Settings' button. You can then choose which emails you would like to receive by checking the boxes in the 'Contact Preferences' section. System changes can take up to five working days to update.

If you're having problems viewing the site, it may be that your browser does not meet our minimum requirements and you should download the latest version of Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. recruit-drive.com's employers site is best viewed with :

1. Internet Explorer 7.0 and above.

2. Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and above.

3. Safari 5.1 and above.

4. Chrome (latest update).
