OPI

OPI is a complex tool that looks at 25 specific personality traits within the workplace.

The Occupational Personality Inventory is a self-report questionnaire which looks at personality in 25 specific areas. Like all good personality assessments, the OPI relates back to the widely accepted Big-5 model of personality. The OPI assesses an individual’s personality in the work places and provides a very thorough profile of an individual’s preferences which can be used to inform selection (recruitment) and development decisions.

OPI is based on Karl Jung’s widely accepted ‘big-five’ model of personality. OPI is a self-report questionnaire, i.e. it is completed online by the candidate, and provides an in-depth profile that can be used for both recruitment and development. OPI typically takes around 45 minutes and is 250 questions where the candidate are presented with behavioral statements and are asked how much the statement refers to them in the workplace on a scale from 1 (not at all like me) to 5 (very much like me).
